Who We Are.
We’re a carpentry and building company based in the Forest of Dean, working across the Forest of Dean, Bristol, Gloucestershire and South Wales. We carry out loft conversions, garage conversions and a wide range of residential carpentry and building projects.
At its core, our work is about helping homeowners make better use of the space they already have. Whether that’s transforming an unused loft, converting a garage or carrying out bespoke carpentry within your home, we focus on creating practical, well finished spaces that genuinely improve the way you live day to day.
Our projects often involve structural alterations and coordination with other trades, and everything is carried out in line with current building regulations. We’re used to working with building control and ensuring work is properly inspected and signed off where required, giving you confidence that things are being done the right way.

Summit Carpentry & Conversions was created with a simple aim: to provide the highest standard of work.
Too often, building projects become stressful through poor organisation, unclear communication or rushed workmanship. It doesn’t have to be that way. With proper planning, open communication and genuine attention to detail, the process can feel clear and well managed from start to finish.
We carry out one project at a time so that you receive the attention your home deserves. This allows for closer oversight, better coordination and a level of care that can be difficult to maintain when multiple jobs are running at once.
We also value partnership. The best outcomes happen when homeowners are involved in key decisions along the way. We see each project as a collaboration, working together to create something considered, well built and tailored to your home.
We are currently working towards recognised national accreditations to further support the standards we set for ourselves and the commitments we make to our clients.
How It Started.
The company is built from a hands on background in construction. Starting as an apprentice carpenter in Bristol, the journey has included working across a wide range of residential projects, progressing into site foreman roles and later regional management within a larger construction company.
That experience provided insight into how projects succeed and fail, not just technically, but in how they’re organised, communicated and delivered. It shaped the way Summit operates today: structured where it needs to be, practical at its core, and always focused on doing the job correctly.
For us, this isn’t about chasing volume. It’s about delivering work we’re proud of and building long term relationships with homeowners who value quality and a straightforward, honest approach.
