Dormer Loft Conversion - Bristol

Full width dormer loft conversion creating a vaulted stairwell and feature landing space.

A spacious double bedroom was formed with ample storage, alongside a bathroom positioned within the pitched side of the roof. The walk in shower was finished with herringbone tiling, adding detail and character to the space without overwhelming it.

To give the loft greater flexibility, a compact storage and kitchenette area was also created. This allows the homeowners to use the space independently if required, whether as a guest suite or for potential future income.

The project was completed in full by our team and trusted subcontractors, covering structural work, carpentry, flooring and finishing details throughout. Engineered timber flooring was installed to complete the space, alongside new handrails and spindles to tie the stairwell into the rest of the home.

The result is a bright, well structured addition that significantly enhances both the usability and long term value of the property.

This project involved the conversion of a large semi detached property in Bristol, where the brief was to maximise the substantial existing loft space and create a bright, self contained upper level.

The design centred around a full width dormer and a vaulted stairwell to open up the landing area and create a striking feature within the home.

Multiple structural steel beams were installed to support the new layout, allowing the space to feel open and well proportioned. Two Velux roof windows combined with a large feature window flood the stairwell and seating area with natural light, framing views across Bristol and towards the Dundry Hills.
